I've used Sharpies for years and often, the same Sharpie for years! They last for a long time, have a great dense color and write on a great variety of materials.
We use them on backpacks, freezer bags, Ziplok bags for toys, to touch up items that color has worn off in places (like our black dishwasher front panel and shoes) and just about anything you can think of. It sticks to and stays on everything. So as long as you only apply it where you want it, then you are in great shape.
It does bleed through if going on regular paper so be sure to put something behind your paper if using these markers.
The addition of all these vibrant colors makes for a great variety. We just used them on a capital campaign display to write messages on paint sticks. These were perfect and when put together on display, made a great impact of color and brightness.
I don't think I would ever buy a different brand of permanent marker.
