Parker IM Black Lacquer CT Medium Point Fountain Pen (Office Product) Best Stationery

Its a review about this product

This isn't a bad pen, but I've had issues with the ink flow on this one that has not been true of any other fountain pen I own. I initially bought a pack of Varsity Fountain pens from Staples to see if I'd like writing with them. The Varsity is a disposable pen, but if it allowed for refills, it would be a much better pen than the Parker IM. I've had issues with the Parker IM being available to write (sometimes I had to prime the thing for a good five minutes just to get it to write) and other times I've had to push more ink through the converter to start the ink flow. I've cleaned it out, but the issue keeps recurring after about two fills and I've only ever used the Parker Quink Fountain Pen Ink in it by way of the refill cartridges and more recently by way of the ink converter.

I have a Parker 51 from the 1960s that I was given to me by my parents (after I had already purchased this pen) and it still works flawlessly. Knowing how much my parents liked theirs, I bought this as my first non-disposable fountain pen on the quality of the name alone.

The heft of this pen is great and aesthetically it's nicer than a few of my other pens; but in comparison to other similarly priced fountain pens, this is my least favorite. It can be a good note-taking pen, but it will never be a daily use pen.

It seems other people have had better experiences with this pen, so maybe mine is just a dud.
