I had a very specific need for a work project for a long reach punch (minimum 3" and this facilitated 4 1/2") that punched a hole (minimum 1/4" and maximum 3/8") I looked both in person at retail and on-line at office supply, craft, stationery and art stores. I found a discontinued punch made by a company that has their headquarters in the same city as I am and tried to contact them to find out where I might get one locally or if they even had one laying around they would sell me. They never returned my call. I was thinking about just stopping in when I found what I wanted at Amazon and got a deal on shipping. I had found this item earlier on various sites but the shipping was almost as much as the item itself!
I received it on the day it was supposed to arrive and was able to track it. It was in good shape and was sturdier than I expected. It worked well both as a hole punch and performing the specific task I needed. The only drawback is how to place it as specifically as I need but have some ideas on how to achieve that...marking the punch itself and using my clear grid ruler.
