First I'd like to thank Natashya at Living in the Kitchen with Puppies for dubbing me Ms. Tinglepants last night.....I've been laughing ever since!
Now onto the order of the day. The best laid plans never seem to work out for me. I had a great cheater paella recipe all set to go for dinner last night, but alas, work gets in the way (imagine singing this to the tune of Smoke Gets In Your Eyes). By the time I got home it was after 8 last night and all I could muster the energy for was a bagel and a cup of tea before geeking out and watching Big Bang Theory. Thankfully, I had Sunday's dinner pics downloaded already so I am good to go. Tonight will be cheater paella tonight....after a much deserved hour long massage with Kevin. The man has magic hands....he talks to much...but magic hands. I'll be all gushy and loose (uh...guess that sounds kind of raunchy) by the time he's done!
OK...so since I've rediscovered my slow cooker I am quite enthusiastic when I stumble across a recipe that calls for it. I had 2 slabs of baby back ribs in the freezer from the summer and was contemplating bbq'ing on Sunday. It was cold and rainy though and I remember I had bookmarked a recipe for sweet and spicy ribs in the slow cooker.
Saute some ginger, garlic and green onions in a bit of oil and then dump the rest of the sauce ingredients into a pot. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 or 10 minutes.
Looks wonderful, yummy.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I love ribs! Those look so succulent.
ReplyDeleteDajana - they were very tasty...but I'm a sucker for anything cooked in sauce.
ReplyDeletePalidor - I've only recently become a fan of ribs....I always had tough gross ones, but yeah....I've bene converted to a rib'aholic

ReplyDelete(Snort) you said bone! Seriosuly, these look amazingly great for just 4 hours in a crockpot. I read all about it today through Google Reader but am just now seeing the photos. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI have bookmarked the recipe because I am always on the lookout for new slow cooker recipes! I'm not a ribs fan, but I might have to try this anyway...
ReplyDeleteSpryte - they would go great I think with some sort of corn muffin for dipping in the sauce!
ReplyDeleteTina - haha...at least it wasn't boner (which makes me roll out of the chair laughing). I was very surprised that in 4 hrs these were so tender!
Wandering - you and me both on the non-rib fan....but I'm starting to change my opinion.
