We just spent a week off in Vancouver and Oliver with friends and family. The main purpose of this trip was A's wedding (and the majority of these pics). When I got to my parent's in Oliver, my mom commented that I hadn't taken any pics of the groom!!! Oops.....sorry J, you looked dashing :)
Loved the flower girl dresses - real petals are in the bottoms of the skirts.

A looked amazing!

And so happy :) I only cried once during her little brother's speech - it was touching...in only the way a younger brother can make it.

A and I stealing a quick minute alone.

The next morning at the beach for brunch. My mother thinks I look like a little old lady in this picture - all bundled up in a sweater.

The beach where we grew up.

It's called White Rock Beach - bet you can't guess why :)

And as only best friends can, we found time to hit downtown for shopping and
bellinis a few days after the wedding.

The house I spent the first 12 years of my life in. That tree used to be tiny!

And last but not least, when your Uncle wants a candid photo of you at the family dinner, this is what you get! Thanks for a great time mom and dad, S's parents and all of our friends.....made for a hectic but unforgettable week!
What a wonderful place to grow up. Your lack of photos of the groom only prove what many already know - weddings are not about the groom, ever ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou look like you had a fabulous time. Love those gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteTaste - gotta love Vancouver hey? Makes me wonder why I live on the prairie now ;) And nope, the groom just needs to show up.
ReplyDeleteFuture - I did have fun. It was amazing to see A so happy.
I was teasing about looking like a little old lady in a shawl. LOL
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time at our house. I love the photos of the family gathering.
Thank you and S & R & J for being good sports about posing for the 100 family pics. We will get the portraits done in the next week or two and send it off for you.
Miss you already; and wishing next spring was here so we can visit longer.
Love you
Mom
Your pictures are gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMom - glad you like the pics
ReplyDeletePalidor - no problem ;) Can't always just share the food stuff!
Great pics! I like the looks of your old house and the scenery photos are wonderful. Bet you're having much better weather than we are.
ReplyDeleteI am commenting as Tina (which is correct) but you usually see my name come up as Pierce. Don't know why Pierce isn't an option just now...must be blogger!
Pierce - yep figured out it was you :) They are calling for snow on Saturday....bet your weather will be better than mine in no time flat!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous wedding shots. Shot of you with finger up and grinning evilly, priceless.
ReplyDeleteI love the cake - it's gorgeous! All the pictures are gorgeous, actually - esp. you flipping the bird! Classic!
ReplyDeleteDonna/Wandering - that pic pretty much describes me to a T ;)
ReplyDeleteThose pictures make me want to visit white rock. I haven't been there in such a long time despite living quite close by (coquitlam)
ReplyDeleteTia - there is nothing better than brunch by the beach! I used to run down there in the mornings and then just hang out with a coffee and listen to the waves...and seagulls.
ReplyDeleteLoks like you had a wonderful trip. Very beautiful weeding and beautiful bride. Loved the last picture!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip! I just love Vancouver.
