Pork chops maximum....sounds kinda like Optimus Prime right?

Yeah yeah, Optimus Prime and me....we go way back. As mentioned in a previous post, I am all about this guys voice - I mean, deep and rumbly and authoritative....exactly up my alley. So when Katherine put up a post for pork chops maximum I instantly thought of Optimus Prime (weird word association for me). Actually, I am all about voices. There is a few people at work that I would prefer talking to over the phone....great voices, not so great when you see them up close :) And I remember years ago being besotted with a man's voice that I used to talk to. When I finally met him I was surprised that he was about 70 years old (I was 20). Now, there are also voices that get on my every nerve.....but we'll save that post for another time!

I am not a pork chop fan at all, but the spice rub on these was out of this world. They actually turned out a bit too spicy....but since the goddaughter had a cold, she deemed them perfect because she could actually taste them!

I went with a pork sirloin steak - these things were huge - way more pork than anybody could eat. They turned out tender and would go perfectly with a large glass of riesling and a salad filled with fresh garden veggies.

You can find Katherine's post HERE.

  5. I like pork chops to be spiced, not too much but just fairly enough. They sound gorgeous.

  6. Palidor - I have found I like pork more when it's medium. As kids we always had it cooked well done - makes a huge difference.

    Taste - haha...yep, transformers geek - that's me.

Wandering - men seem to adore them ;)

    Oneshot - :)

Dajana - I love any kind of spicy food. I figure if it's not my favourite and I make it spicier, I'll eat it (tofu is a good example).

Katherine - we did...thx for the great recipe!
