At work, any mention to penetration (purely accounting related) sends me into fits of giggles (bad when you are in meetings).
For my dad, plumbers putty.
And unfortunately..........taco. Yes yes, the slang/derogatory meaning ALWAYS pops into my head. I even tried to convince a co-worker to dress as a taco for Hallowe'en 2 years ago - purely to allow me to spend a day doubled over laughing.
So in honor of the word that makes diet pepsi come out of my nose.......my often requested taco dip! Again, taco....dip....together those words bring about tons of naughty thoughts.
Mix together 2 large blocks of cream cheese (250 grams each) with 1 container sour cream based french onion dip. Spread into the bottom of a 9 x 11 pan.
Layer beef mixture on top of cream cheese mixture. Spread either a jar of taco (haha) sauce or salsa over the beef. Sprinkle on lots of shredded cheddar and monterey jack and serve with tortilla chips.
Easy hey? People will love you.....and now you will never think of tacos so innocently again.
Ah, taco dip with beef in it - how excellent! I love that idea.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite recipes that you gave us. Yep, any chance I get to make it I will. I also add olives (black) and sometimes slice up the green with pimento in them; also the tomato's and lettuce. A very nice supper!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny. I'll never look at this dip the same way again.
ReplyDeleteYou are funny! I am trying to think of what words make me laugh like this! ;0)
ReplyDeleteThere are too many words that make me laugh and think of funny things. One, mentioned on my blog comments yesterday, is hairy taco. One also was a reference to brillo pad from another commenter, let your mind wander bout that. Another would be one eyed muscle. I could go on, but I refrain.
ReplyDeleteI make the exact same taco dip, with leftover chili all the time. I sometimes add a layer odf green chiles. It is fabulous, you are sooo right!
Wandering - the taco seasoning in the beef is waht helps.
ReplyDeleteMom - yuck to olives......evil evil little things.
Debbie - you will smile every time you pass a taco bell too :)
Ungourmet - there's more words, but you know....I need material for other posts.
Donna - I think we'd have a lot of fun with a bottle of wine together ;)
You are a stinker - lol making some dress as a taco so you could laugh all day!
ReplyDeleteYour taco dip looks fantastic, so perfect for sitting in front of the TV watching football!
Katherine - yah.....laughter is the best way to get through work :)
ReplyDeleteI must live a completely sheltered life because I have no idea what's so funny about the word taco! I'm not sure I want to know, either. Ignorance is bliss- sometimes at least. For the record, I giggled at all the other words. Just taco....one of those things that makes you go "hmmmm." And your dip sounds delish, like something I know my family would devour.
ReplyDeleteHAHA Tammy - email me if you "really" need an explanation ;)
ReplyDeleteYUM!! I totally love this stuff!!!
