Happy Early Easter

When you work in the car industry certain months mean certain things.

It used to be September meant a new model year and lots of excitement. Now that we randomly get new vehicles throughout the year, that excitement dies down. But there is one thing that means the world to a Controller in a dealership...that first long weekend!!!

It means you have

  1. Finished year end
  2. Survived your fiscal audit
  3. Didn't go to jail for maiming the auditors with their dumb questions
  4. Made it through the first quarter relatively unscathed and can go back to working 11 hour days instead of 14 hour days.

So without further ado...I start my extended Easter long weekend...5 glorious days off to see my parents (where it's sunny and warm).

The other thing about controllers...they don't let go real well. So my phone is forwarded to my cell and I uh...may sneak to try and check email and approve payroll from my parents den ;) BUT...with a glass of wine in hand!!

Here's an easy dinner that will get you on your way with your evening plans quickly.

A quick and light tasting tortellini dish with asparagus - very spring like!

Happy Easter! I'll try to throw a few posts up from my parents but if not...enjoy your weekends!
You can find the recipe here.
